The Fallen Tree

The fallen tree
 Blocking the path;
 You didn't know it was there
 Until the storm raged
 And the winds blew.
 Yet you walked past it
 All the time
 Everyday.

You didn't know it was there
 Oh but the birds knew!
 You didn't know it existed
 Until the ground trembled
 Until you labored to cut it
 And removed it from the path
 And realised its incredible size!

 What trees
 Are yet to fall inside you
 To make you aware they're there?
 The fallen tree
 May have been
 Blocking the Way
 Before it even fell.
